Joe Folino is a

based in Rome.

Born in Rome and raised in LA, I lived between two very different lifestyles and professional environments. Existing inside that contrast — ancient and manufactured, chaotic and structured — taught me to find what works in both. Turns out that's a useful skill in design.

I studied fashion design at Accademia Costume & Moda and had industry projects with Valentino before diving deep into digital design. I've worked in startups in San Francisco (Lyft, Postmates) and Berlin (OneFootball), and am now back to my roots in Rome with my own freelance business. My main client now is the American Academy in Rome, a century-old arts and humanities institution.

In every role, my background in fashion, tech, and communications converges on the same goal: taking something complex & chaotic and making it clean & marketable.
